NOT A FREE GAME

Free Fall, the bonus map

If the search was "cod ghosts free", the autocomplete is about this map. The game is still a paid product.

From my notes. I checked the Fandom Free Fall page against the Wikipedia preorder note. Both say the map shipped as a bonus for preorders, the Season Pass, and the Hardened and Prestige editions, then was made free in March 2014. Whether that 2014 claim button still appears in a 2026 store client is something I did not re-click on every platform, so I am not promising a current redeem path.

What the map does

It is a Caracas skyscraper that keeps falling during the match. The layout changes twice as the building degrades. Fandom describes it as a close-range map, with shotguns and SMGs favored, and a few sniper angles.
A Helo Scout is destroyed by the collapse. A KEM strike darkens and fogs the map. I do not have an official timestamp for when each collapse happens.

Questions

Is Call of Duty: Ghosts free?

No. Free Fall is a map name. Store prices checked on 23 October 2026 were still paid.

Who got the map first?

Preorders, Season Pass owners, and Hardened or Prestige editions. It was later made free, including on Wii U on 4 March 2014.

Can I still claim it?

I have not rechecked every 2026 store client, so I cannot promise the 2014 free unlock is still one click.
