Call of Duty: Ghosts FAQ
Eighteen short answers covering the 2013 game, present-day platform checks and the separate Modern Warfare character.
From my notes. I wrote these after the guide pages, using the same 23 October 2026 check. Where a store page and a wiki disagreed, the FAQ says so instead of picking a winner.

Questions
When was Call of Duty: Ghosts released?
The first release was 5 November 2013. Steam currently lists 25 March 2014 for its product record; that store metadata is not the original launch date.
Who is the campaign protagonist?
Logan Walker is the main player character. Simon Riley is a different Modern Warfare character; Riley in Ghosts is a dog.
Does Ghosts have Zombies?
No. Its cooperative creature mode is Extinction, against Cryptids.
How many Extinction maps are there?
Five: Point of Contact, Nightfall, Mayday, Awakening and Exodus. The latter four came with DLC.
Is the campaign cooperative?
No. The story campaign is single-player. Extinction is the separate cooperative mode.
How many campaign missions are there?
There are 18 campaign missions, from Ghost Stories to The Ghost Killer.
How many Rorke Files are there?
18, one in each campaign mission. Collecting all of them unlocks Audiophile.
Can I play without a public multiplayer lobby?
Squads and local bot options provide alternatives. Availability of split-screen and local features depends on the platform.
How many Steam multiplayer players were counted?
The 23 October 2026 sample for multiplayer app 209170 was 38 players, with an 82-player daily peak. It excludes consoles and does not guarantee a match.
Is there a native PS5 edition?
No. The PS4 version uses PS5 backward compatibility. A PS4 disc needs a compatible PS5 with a disc drive.
Is it on Nintendo Switch?
The original Nintendo release is Wii U. Switch is not on the official Ghosts platform list.
Is Ghosts confirmed in Game Pass?
The checked Xbox listing offered a separate purchase. A subscription requirement for console online play does not prove catalog inclusion.
Where can I buy it?
Use the Steam, Xbox or PlayStation links on the official-store page. The 23 October 2026 US check showed Steam $39.99, Xbox $39.99+ and PS4 Gold Edition $39.99.
How much PC disk space is listed?
Steam lists 40 GB for both minimum and recommended requirements. That is required storage, not a measured download size.
Is there a free browser or APK edition?
No official free browser or APK build was found in the publisher and platform listings checked for this review.
Is Ghosts 2 announced?
No official Ghosts 2 announcement was found in the checked publisher sources. Modern Warfare 4 is a different title.
Did the original Ghost die?
Yes. Shepherd kills Ghost and Roach in Loose Ends in MW2 (2009). Reboot Ghost has a separate timeline.
Are the wallpapers official screenshots?
No. The wallpaper downloads are original codghost.net orbital fan graphics, with dimensions and a CC BY 4.0 license stated on the page.
