Call of Duty: Ghosts on PC

Steam sells the Windows build. The store lists 40 GB of disk space, which is a storage requirement rather than an exact download size. Read the security note before multiplayer.

From my notes. On 23 October 2026 I used three PC sources and ignored the rest. Steam is the storefront. ProtonDB's report for 209160 was Gold, with community notes about launch options and lowered effects. PCGamingWiki documents a multiplayer FOV adjustment limit of 80, a frame-rate cap around 91, and a standing warning that online play on this generation of PC Call of Duty is highly discouraged because of known vulnerabilities.

These are the historical requirements still published by Steam on 23 October 2026, not a promise that the current Steam client supports those old operating systems. Activation needs an internet connection. Installed size varies with selected components and DLC; no exact current download size or patch version was verified.

Steam Deck and the date conflict

ProtonDB is community testing, not Valve's verified badge. I am quoting the Gold community tier and not a specific graphics preset.
Steam's product page shows a release of 25 March 2014. Wikipedia dates the Windows release to 5 November 2013. Both stay visible on the game hub until a primary source explains the gap.

What I will not tell you to download

No client mods, no "online fix" packages, no repacks. If the menu says content is unavailable, the fix that community threads describe is a language pack, and it has its own page. If the error is DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG, that has its own page too.

Is Ghosts safe to play on PC?

The campaign is a local game. PCGamingWiki says the online mode of this era is highly discouraged.
