Is Ghost in Modern Warfare 4?

The official page labels Modern Warfare 4 with 23 October 2026. It is a Modern Warfare title, separate from the 2013 Call of Duty: Ghosts story.

From my notes. Checked 23 October 2026: the official page displays that date, pre-order wording and a Vault Edition Ghost Operator Skin. These confirm the advertised date and cosmetic; they do not prove every platform is live. The community reboot wiki lists Samuel Roukin and a campaign role, while its character status field is Unknown.

What the official page says

The official page lists Xbox, Xbox PC, PlayStation, Battle.net, Steam and Nintendo platform choices. Its notes name Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Campaign early access is advertised from 16 October and DMZ from 20 October, subject to outages, timezone differences and platform availability. Check your own storefront for unlock time.
Vault Edition marketing includes a Ghost Operator Skin. A skin on a store page is a cosmetic. It does not, by itself, prove how long he is on screen.

What the wiki adds, and what it does not

The community reboot wiki describes Ghost in the Price storyline and credits Samuel Roukin for MWII, MWIII and MW4. This is a community synopsis, not a verified playthrough by this site. Its infobox currently says Status: Unknown, so we do not promise that Ghost survives MW4.
I did not play the MW4 campaign for this page, so I am not describing mission order or quoting dialogue. If a later patch changes his role, this page should be rechecked against the official site and the wiki.

Not Ghosts 2

Nothing on the MW4 page says the 2013 Ghosts story is continuing. Logan Walker, Hesh, Rorke and the Federation are not on that page. Sequel rumors for the 2013 game stay on the Ghosts 2 tracker.

Questions

Is Ghost a playable operator in MW4?

A Ghost Operator Skin is listed in the official Vault Edition. The community wiki also describes a campaign role. The store page does not establish which campaign missions are playable as Ghost.

Is MW4 the sequel to Call of Duty: Ghosts?

No. MW4 continues the Modern Warfare reboot. It is not a Ghosts sequel.
