BASE MAP

Point of Contact Extinction map

Drill through three areas and destroy 14 hives, including two barrier hives. Arm the nuke after the last hive and reach the helicopter before the four-minute timer expires.

From my notes. The base-map workflow follows the Call of Duty Wiki map entry and Digital Trends' 2013 Extinction guide. Hive choices within an area can vary, so this is the objective sequence rather than an invented per-hive path.

Objective

Follow the drill prompts through the three areas: plant the drill at each marked hive, defend it from incoming Cryptids, then move it to the next hive. Complete the regular hives in an area to trigger its Barrier Hive sequence; protect the helicopter while it attacks the barrier, then advance through the opened route. Later areas add tougher enemies, so use the between-hive windows to spend skill points, buy ammunition, and coordinate team support.
There are 14 hives total, including two Barrier Hives. After destroying the final hive, arm the nuclear device and immediately retrace the route toward the starting extraction point. Seekers and the Cryptid horde pursue you and temporary barriers can block passages. Reach the helicopter and board before the four-minute countdown expires to complete the map. Equipment the map sells

Look for mounted miniguns and electric/fire traps along the route; use them to thin waves near a hive or barrier. The map also has an attack-helicopter call-in, but spend only when the team can still afford the next defense. Enemy order escalates from Scouts toward Scorpions, Hunters, Seekers and Rhinos; keep the drill covered instead of chasing every enemy away from it. Class and Teeth choices are covered in the classes guide.
