Venom-X in Extinction

Progress through Nightfall to the later facility area and clear the hive blocking the middle-room door. Enter and take the free Venom-X; it does not replace your primary weapon. Cryptids drop glowing ammunition eggs: hold interact to collect them and replenish its reserve. The weapon has limited ammunition, so use it for clustered threats rather than as your only gun. For Mayday, locate the Venom-X schematic in the Cargo Area's optional side-door room (the room near the catwalk/LSAT route). Pick up the schematic, search toolboxes for the deactivated weapon and Nucleic Battery, then collect a Biolum and craft from the Skills menu. Biolum color selects the result: standard acid/explosive shot, orange Venom-FX (fire), blue Venom-LX (electricity), or Amethyst Venom-SX (friendly Seeder). Component boxes and Biolum colors vary; explore searchable toolboxes instead of assuming fixed drops.

Awakening also offers a free crafted Venom-X: schematics and their side-room positions are randomized by match. Find the schematic in a side area, gather its components from red toolboxes, and complete the recipe through Skills.
